Stan Ridgway in Park City

This show was several years ago now. Mary's Danish opened for Mr. Ridgway. They played an excellent set.

The Stan Ridgway came out and blew everyone away. His stage was sparse, he was lit with a single bare bulb hanging from a wire above his head. Every so often, he would reach up and swat the bulb so it would swing around in an arc.

Great night. Somewhere I still have the ticket stub.

Stan is still putting out really great music. He had a CD last year that had wonderful story songs with that excellent Ridgway slant; something like a music Ray Carver story.
