Happy Anniversary!

16 years. A lifetime. Mary and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend by having a wonderful dinner at Em's in Salt Lake City. Great time--though I drank too much wine and had to walk it off at the Gateway.

On Sunday, we hiked at Alta for the wildflower festival. Do yourself a favor and go check out the flowers. They are beautiful and it is much cooler up in the canyons and the mountains.

Koi at the Japanese Garden--Portland, Oregon

I am back from a wonderful trip to Portland. My sister-in-law lives there and we had a wonderful time visiting the Rose Gradens, drinking excellent beer and coffees, the food was excellent. We trekked to the beach one day and to Mt. St. Helens another. More details will follow.

It was an amazing trip but it is good to be home.

And, when we went downstairs, the house was dry! No surprise floodwaters or anything!
